Macie & Dustin’s Wedding Day | A Faith-Filled Celebration of Love

Some wedding ceremonies are especially meaningful because they reflect not only the love shared between a bride and groom, but also the faith and values they want to carry into their marriage. Macie and Dustin’s wedding on October 28, 2023, was one of those beautiful celebrations.

Surrounded by family and friends, the couple came together for a heartfelt Christian wedding ceremony centered on love, commitment, faith, and the beginning of a new family.

A Ceremony Centered on Love and Faith

The ceremony opened with prayer, giving thanks for the love Macie and Dustin share and asking for God’s blessing as they began their life together. From the very beginning, it was clear that their marriage was being celebrated as much more than simply a wedding day—it was the start of a lifelong commitment.

Their pastor reminded everyone that marriage is a sacred covenant and encouraged Macie and Dustin to enter it with love, honor, faithfulness, and devotion.

Macie and Dustin each answered “I do” as they promised to love, comfort, honor, and remain faithful to one another through every season of life.

Exchanging Their Wedding Vows

One of the most meaningful moments of the ceremony came when Macie and Dustin stood facing one another, held hands, and exchanged their traditional wedding vows.

They promised to remain together for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, and to love and cherish one another for the rest of their lives.

These are the moments I especially enjoy capturing as a wedding videographer. Photographs preserve an instant, but wedding video allows couples to hear the voices, emotion, laughter, and words spoken during some of the most important moments of their lives.

Years from now, Macie and Dustin will be able to hear themselves make those promises all over again.

Building a Marriage on a Strong Foundation

Their pastor also shared a personal message based on conversations the couple had during premarital counseling. He spoke about communication, expectations, love languages, finances, parenting, and the many areas of life they would navigate together.

But his central message was simple: build their marriage and family on Jesus.

He encouraged the couple to remain people of faith and prayer and to build their home on love and respect. The message concluded with a reminder from Joshua: “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

It was a touching and deeply personal message for Macie and Dustin as they prepared to begin this new chapter together.

The Beginning of a New Family

Before concluding the ceremony, another prayer was offered for their future together—asking that their marriage be filled with wonderful memories, laughter, important milestones, strength, and God’s presence throughout their lives.

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for.

After Macie and Dustin had exchanged vows and rings, they were officially pronounced husband and wife.

And, of course, Dustin was invited to kiss his bride!

Moments later, family and friends applauded as the newly married couple was introduced for the very first time as Mr. and Mrs. Dustin Cox.

Preserving Macie & Dustin’s Wedding Memories

Wedding days pass incredibly quickly. Months of planning lead up to a day that seems to fly by in only a few hours.
